Physics is believed to have originated at around 600 BCE in Greece when a Greek philosopher established that phenomena could be explained with natual laws. It has evolved a lot since then, for example, Isaac Newton defining gravity. Another example of the evolution of physics is the theory of planetary motion and the theory that the Earth orbits the sun.
